The Art of Pan
Conceived as an exercise to explore and exhibit the musical range and diversity of the steelpan, Pan Trinbago introduced audiences to "Pan in the 21st Century in 1998.
In this new medium, Conventional Bands are required to play songs from the contemporary world beat repertoire, which encourages innovation and creativity outside the traditional Panorama format.
The theme of this year's TSTT Pan in the 21st Century was 'The Art of Pan', and over a two-week period the artistry of the steelpan was on display at the various pan yards around the country.
The Final showcasae included 12 Conventional Bands converge on the 'big stage' of the Queen's Park Savannah on April 29th 2006.
